Winners!!!

Joe and I are so proud to tell you all that we won “Song of The Year” at the Arkansas Country Music Awards in 2022! We recorded a song that Jeannie Seely wrote back in the early ‘80’s. I was the singer on that demo and told Jeannie that I loved the song and would love to record it some day. I did not realize that she did not pitch that song to anyone all these years, waiting for me to record it. I thought it would make a beautiful duet with Joe. The song is called “Yours” and is wonderful. Jeannie was at the awards show that night because she was singing “The End Of The World” (made famous by Skeeter Davis) because the awards show was showcasing the grandson of Floyd Cramer, Jason Coleman. Joe and I sang harmony with Jeannie Seely on “The End Of The World”. When the announcers started reading off the songs that were nominated for “Song of the Year”, they included “Yours”. You could have knocked me over with a feather when the winner was “Yours”! Song of the Year!!! What a blessing. Joe and I each received a beautiful award and so did Jeannie. Joe commented to Jeannie….”Do you know what the best thing about us winning this award is to me??? The fact that I know you have an award in your house now that has MY NAME on it! haha We are so proud!!
